SNOW CITY, USA — Becca Anders (MCAS ’20) was relieved to receive word late Monday night that Boston College would be closed on Tuesday, March 13th due to inclement weather.

“I really needed this snow day,” Anders said to no one in particular. “I’ve been so stressed lately, and my work has just been piling up. Honestly, it couldn’t have come at a better time.”

Though Anders had only spent 24 hours back on campus and just spent nine days relaxing under the palm trees in Boca Raton, the pressures of campus living had already taken their toll. “My Prose & Poetry professor had the nerve to cold call on me in our first class back since break and assign thirty pages of reading due Wednesday.”

On top of her school stresses, Anders’ leisurely vacation was not without its trials and tribulations: “Miami wasn’t all beaches and palm trees, ok? I mean, it was a lot of beaches and palm trees, but so many things went wrong. First, our flight there got delayed for like, two hours, and then, the hotel booked us a garden view when I clearly requested an ocean view. Anyway, this snow day really saved me.”

At press time, Anders was spotted sipping on a cup of tea and watching an episode of The Office that she’s already seen on multiple occasions, clearly enjoying some “much-needed me-time.”
