TD GARDEN — Hundreds of spectators crowded into TD Garden this Saturday to support their beloved Eagles in the Hockey East championship.

The Eagles crushed the Terriers 6-2, with four of those goals being from none other than resident baby girl, Will Smith (MCAS ‘27).

In an exclusive interview with the Classic, Smith revealed the inspiration behind his stellar performance.

“Honestly, I am just so inspired by Colby’s hat tricks. You know, that hat he wears for game days? You know the one, the fedora that kind of makes him look like a suspicious watch salesman mixed with a jazz musician. I just love it. I love his hats,” Smith divulged.

“Before the game, he pulled a bunny out of his hat. I was like, WHAT?! That’s a cool hat trick! I wanna have one too! I saw a hat trick, so I scored a hat trick. It doesn’t get much simpler than that,” he continued.

The Classic was deeply touched to learn that the reasoning behind the Eagle’s win was admiration for a hat enthusiast’s magic tricks and not the multiple first-round draft picks BC has on its roster.

“I did a magic camp in the summer of 2009. They ran out of those classic magician’s top hats, so I had to use this fedora I found in my basement for my tricks,” Ambrosio shared.

“It was a pretty big deal, I was, like, the best magician at camp. But I also am pretty good at hockey, so I had to mesh the two together. It’s my good luck charm – and that’s why I’m always in this fedora before games,” Ambrosio said in an interview.

At press time, Coach Brown was seen ordering multiple magician magic kits from Amazon, as well as 9,575 fedoras and a weird purple ten-gallon hat.
