Troy Bolton? Fowler Forced To Choose Between Love For Tap Dancing And Hockey

THE TWO WOLVES WITHIN ME— With BC in the Frozen Four, the possibility of Showdown and a BC NCAA Championship game overlapping has been petrifying students across campus. For one goalie and brick wall, however, the possibility means choosing between his two loves: hockey and tap dancing.
“I’m petrified,” said Jacob Fowler (CSOM ‘27) “People know me for who I am on the ice, but I feel most myself on the stage…The rhythm of my shoes clicking and clacking as I hop and prance, it’s the most electric feeling.”
When questioned about which he would choose, Fowler stated “Hockey has been the source of so much pride for me, it’s brought me my closest pookie-bears like Will Smith and Cutter UGa, but I owe tap my soul. Thousands of fans cheering for you when you save your team from a loss sure is a dandy, but I feel like I’m meeting God when I fall in synchrony with the beat and my fellow tap-heads.”
Fowler hasn’t always been so in tune with his truest of passions, however.
“I didn’t discover my love for it until I got to BC,” stated Fowler “In November I went to the Rat to steal core powers (I get them for free as an athlete, but I need the thrill) at Late Night, and when I walked in and saw the Axis tap performance, I was stopped in my tracks. In that moment, I felt my heart rip in two between my skates and those slick, seductive black shoes that permeate my waking mind.”
When interviewing the coach, Harr Dass, he stated “Fowler’s out of his f*cking mind. I’ve seen him tap dance, he SUCKS. Showdown is in a week and he said he only knows 10% of the routine. I’ve never even seen him tap on beat. He just sort of stomps his feet frantically, he looks like there is a wild animal crawling up his pants. If they didn’t get drug tested, I’d think he was smoking something.”
At press time, Fowler was seen falling off the stage after attempting to show off his new routine.
