WALSH HALL – Somewhere in the Boston Logan Airport, a plane prepares for its departure to Paris tomorrow. On that plane will be your destitute cash-strapped roommate whose mom couldn’t even book her the Four Seasons in time. But that will be a problem for tomorrow. Today, Hasa Lowance (MCAS ‘26) will pack her pink Away carry-on and complain to you about her difficult life.
“It was really a last-minute thing,” Lowance says about her fall break plans. “Of course, who really plans a Paris trip? I feel like it’s such a weekend spot. I wanted to take some friends to the family home in Monaco but they all said they ‘couldn’t pay’ the $400/night for room and board. Bullshit. I saw Jenny’s dad buy her a hotdog at the parent’s weekend game so it’s not like she was gonna pay for the trip herself.”
As Lowance decides which LoveShackFancy dress to pack next to her Drunk Elephant skincare bag, she elaborates on her gut-wrenching poverty: “I’m literally broke. I’ve had to save all month for this trip.” The Classic makes note that this interview is from October 4th. “My parents have money, but that doesn’t mean I do. They said all the drinks I have on my trip are coming out of my allowance, so I’m kind of on my own here.”
At press time, Lowance was seen sending out Venmo requests to everyone who had a shot of her Rubinoff last weekend and pondering if she should rent or buy her off-campus housing next year.
