LOGAN AIRPORT — In the midst of a sharp increase in COVID cases on the Boston College campus, Executive Vice President Michael Lochhead was seen boarding a flight to Toronto late Thursday night.
Lochhead has been responsible for many of the COVID-related emails sent to students, including those which warned of punishments for any students caught in violation of the EaglesCare Pledge. Such emails remind students that all travel should be absolutely essential, and it is more important than ever to maintain good behavior on campus.
However, while his flight was boarding at Logan Airport, other staff members were leading mandatory meetings with all students regarding a recent rise in COVID cases, and reaffirming crucial Residential Life policies.
“My daughters really needed me to fly with them to Toronto,” said Lochhead when confronted. “They are going skiing and can’t be expected to travel alone, I mean they’re only 20 and 22 years old!”
At press time, Lochhead could not be reached for comment about the contents of his large, snowboard-shaped duffle bag.
