Uh Oh! West Coaster Mistakes Arts Fest For Coachella

MOD LOT — After Two Friends’ cancellation and a sold out Chainsmoker’s concert for LDOC, students should be ecstatic about Boston College’s very own Coachella: Arts Fest! This event is huge for the 10 studio art majors, the creative writing students who “just dabble” in poetry, and all of the dance teams who (now regretfully) agreed to perform on a Friday and Saturday night.
One student, Anit A’Mann, was especially excited upon seeing the Coachella-themed flyers. Originally from Los Angeles, A’Mann has been “just, like, wishing” for a chance to reconnect with his California roots at a Coachella event on the East Coast.
“I just have such an appreciation for the arts, big and tiny artists alike. I was like so excited to get turnt for them! Like who would have thought Boston College would host on a Thursday night?!”
Upon arriving Thursday night to the Arts Fest poetry reading, A’Mann discovered he was gravely mistaken about what kind of Coachella this was.
“In true Coachella fashion, I had put on my best assless chaps! But everyone was really upset about me having both buns out during the set. Unfortunately, the poem being read when I arrived was about someone’s dead grandmother being reincarnated as an orca…yikes!”
Anit A’Mann bravely sat through the rest of the poetry readings and even stood up for a particularly moving prose about the planet and AI.
“Yeah, so some of the snaps died down behind me when I was showing appreciation! These people just don’t understand true art. Thank god these art whores cannot afford real Coachella.”
At the time of print, we at the Classic hope that someone else is holding down Boston, Massachusetts, because A’Mann certainly isn’t.
