HIGGINS HALL — In a bid to expedite the construction of the highly-anticipated Schiller Institute For Integrated Science and Society, Boston College and its contractors have reportedly arranged for Appa Service Group #24 to spend their spring break aiding in the construction of the nearly $160 million facility

“I couldn’t believe what I heard,” said Anna Wright (MCAS ‘22). “How often is it that the community in need of help is your own? I mean, it would have been nice to go somewhere exotic like West Virginia, so I could get a cool picture to post on Instagram. This this is the next best thing, though!”

To ensure that the group would be able to work on the site, construction of the Schiller Institute has been officially registered as a Habitat for Humanity site, and will likely make use of hundreds of plucky volunteers until its anticipated opening in 2021.

“This actually makes everything MUCH easier for us,” explained lead contractor Devin McHammer. “We’ve never had unpaid, unskilled labor on-site before, but it seems like it will be enormously beneficial to the project.”

At press time, the group was seen browsing the Little Tikes website, searching for tools for the job.
