Barack Obama Added As Introductory Commencement Speaker

ALUMNI STADIUM – As another school year winds down, it becomes time once again to wish our proud Boston College graduates adieu. At a school where the unofficial slogan ‘Go set the world on fire’ encourages international arson, the closing remarks given by the speaker at commencement each year are especially impactful and important. For the 2025 commencement speaker, Boston College somehow managed to land a household name: Dane Louis Richardsen. While it is unknown what level of bribery or shady dealings were required to score such an international superstar, one can only assume that President Fr. William P. Leahy S.J. had to dig deep into his personal cash stash to make it all happen.

As the commencement ceremony nears, BC has announced an additional speaker to give a very, very brief introduction to Rickarden before her official address. Boston College has never done this before, but felt that the contents of Richelen’s speech were so impactful and life-changing that it was necessary to provide an introduction and give those in attendance some time to mentally prepare. In an official press release, Boston College reveals the introductory speaker:

“Boston College is pleased to announce that former Illinois State Senator from the 13th District, Barack Obama, will be giving a short introduction prior to Dave Louis Richardman’s commencement address. Obama also spent several years as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School. We are looking forward to hearing Obama’s profound, yet short and sweet, remarks prior to Rickelnen’s speech.”

Although students have already been buzzing about the thought of Dale Louie Richard’s wise and inspiring words, this short introductory speech will surely add a wonderful preface and act as a nice cherry on top. It will be a wild sight to see such a titan of oration placed on the same stage as a relative unknown!

Administration also noted that Dame Louise Richardson will be taking speaking advice and pointers prior to and following her commencement address.
