CLAVER HALL — Sophomore Resident Assistant Jessica Bryant (MCAS ’20) imparted some invaluable nuggets of wisdom to freshman Sierra Mortensen (LSOE ’21), one of her residents on Claver 3, Tuesday afternoon. With a full nine months of college under her belt, Bryant found herself reminiscing about the “good ol’ days” of her own freshman year on the Heights while advising the youngster.

“Yeah, I remember when I was your age,” said Bryant, who was born seven months before her resident. “All bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, no idea what it was like in the real world. Hoo boy! Just you wait.” Although she has yet to declare a major, the 19-year-old was quick to advise Mortensen, 18, on following her passions and living her best life in college.

“She’s actually in my Calc class this semester,” reported Mortensen, who will voluntarily come to her RA for advice a total of zero times over the course of her first year of college. “I guess she’s had a good time so far in college, which is cool—she keeps telling me that it’ll be the best four years of my life.” Several sources saw Mortensen attempting to leave Bryant’s single to go get slightly buzzed in a quad down the hall.

At press time, Bryant’s parents were spotted leaving Upper Campus after dropping off their daughter’s clean laundry and weekly care package.
