Due To Budget Cuts, UMaine Game To Have Gloving Show At Halftime

ALUMNI STADIUM — Instagram story data reports that the drone halftime show was a hit at the Red Bandana game! Unfortunately, due to budget cuts from the renovation of Carney Hall, specifically creating functioning women’s bathrooms (these ladies are so expensive), this week’s game will feature a gloving show during halftime.

“Gloving” is a visual performance art and dance style that has become popular in the past few years via TikTok, Reels, Youtube Shorts, and other streaming services that feature quick dopamine-boosting videos. Glove technicians perform finger roll maneuvers, tutting, stacking, and more!

“Some students here have been scoffing at the art of the ‘G,” said Brandon Glouvier (MCAS ‘29). “They take amateur style gloves to Circle…while I am, of course, a champion of gloving’s expansion. It should be taken seriously as the performing act it is. I live and die by the glove.”

Boston College brought together the university’s finest baton twirlers, anime fans, and dexterity experts who have taken on gloving. Aspiring glovers may be seen practicing their twirls and tuts in the Williams basement, dark corners of Stokes, and the Lyons bathroom. Unfortunately, many of BC’s own, like Glouvier, did not make the cut. The Eagles had to recruit outside talent from Berklee, Emerson, and Tufts.

At the end of the game, the losing team will be “degloved,” a gruesome tradition of the sport.
