ALUMNI STADIUM— Today, BC will play UNC football, and it will be the last Boston College game day for many seniors. Countless messages in the class of 2025 group me indicate that an “unc” ticket is the hottest one on the market.

The Classic finds this trend in auctioning off tickets to see and spend time with your beloved elder uncs to fall into a greater trend of Agism.

We as Americans have grown numb to the belittling of the cute, sad, lonely old people we share a world with, and this game will only escalate that. Take Biden vs. Trump debate in June, or the Paul vs. Leahy fight on Thursday. There has been an escalation in taking down the washed up oldies clinging to the last ounce of relevance they once held.

Senior W. Ashed (MCAS 2025) reported he has seen a shocking increase in agist rhetoric amongst campus anticipating the fight.

“Five people have called me unc since the last game,” he said. “They all say, ‘We’re gonna destroy UNC this weekend.’ I mean, do they really have to spell it out for me? I get it; I’m old. I’m graduating. I’m taking a capstone. But that doesn’t mean you can threaten me.”

Local Sophomore, Young Scrappynhungry (CSOM 2027) said this game was more of an homage to the senior class, and a chance to prove BC is the ultimate “unc.”

“This isn’t about proving the youth are better than the old disgusting farts hogging the plex. It’s a chance to assert our dominance over all uncs everywhere, not just at BC. Also, beating the uncs today will be a final ‘fuck you’ to the seniors, you didn’t teach us anything and we are glad to see the first of your lasts.”

This gameday will be both a final gametime celebration/annihilation of the uno on campus and the ultimate battle for the title of oldest: UNC vs. Before Christ.

We wish the best of luck to both teams!
