Happy Thursday, October 15, Boston College! Boy, isn’t today normal?

The first thing I did after getting out of bed was brush my teeth with a little Colgate®️ Optic White toothpaste. Then, I took my morning shower and changed into a casual outfit. To finish off my morning routine, I drank my cup of morning joe — a little cream, 2 Splenda. Gave me the jolt I needed. Before I left my room, I put a protein bar in my backpack.

I stepped outside my building and into what I can only describe as typical fall weather. Slightly overcast, blue skies, high 60s. Nothing special by any means. I noticed some of my friends walk by. I could’ve sworn they were staring at me, so I waved, but they didn’t wave back. I guessed I was probably just seeing things. They must not’ve been staring at me after all.

I walked into my 10 AM class and took my normal seat (2 rows from the front, slightly off to the left). I feel like that’s the best spot in the room, so I was a little surprised no one sat near me. I didn’t think about it too much. The session was nothing out of the ordinary. I took some notes on the lecture and made sure to thank the professor on my way out. An uneventful end to an unremarkable week of classes.

At that point, I was thankful I had packed that protein bar because I was starved. I sat on a bench outside Stokes and chowed it down. It wasn’t anything special, but it did the trick. I needed to get some work done so I made my way over to O’Neill. There was such a long line out the door! It seems like exams happen earlier and earlier every year, LOL. I didn’t mind waiting though; long lines aren’t exactly atypical here at BC. Eags know what I’m talking about!

I took my normal fifth floor study seat and tinkered with a spreadsheet for 15 or so minutes, but then I got distracted and texted my friends what the move was for the night. For some reason they said they have no plans? When I asked why they weren’t going out they didn’t give me a straight answer. I guess they wanna take it easy tonight, and honestly I respect the move.

So yeah, nothing exciting. A perfectly normal day. I know it’s probably naive of me to say, but sometimes I wish crazier things were happening around here! Would it be too much to wish for some world-changing situation to come about? Just to spice things up? If only. Haha.
