Student In Write-Up Meeting Says “I like beer”

WALSH HALL — During his write-up meeting with Walsh Resident Director Diana Steinfein, pre-law student Brad Chadanaugh (MCAS ‘21) reportedly responded to a question about his drinking habits by saying that he “drank beer with his friends, liked beer, and still likes beer.”

Steinfein says she discusses drinking habits in every conduct meeting with students. “Everyone usually lies and says that they weren’t drinking the night they got in trouble,” she explained. “But this kid decided to be honest about his drinking habits and kept rambling on and on. I guess it was his lame attempt to gain some credibility so that I’d believe him later.”

Chadanaugh denied the allegation that he was even present at the Walsh 805 party that was written up, insisting that it was impossible for him to be there since he spent all of last weekend in Walsh 424.

“He pulled out his weekly planner as evidence that he was not at the party,” Steinfein added. “He showed me the night of the incident in his planner which, admittedly, did not say anything about a party. I’m not quite sure how he pulled that one off.”

Chadanaugh also added that he usually spends his free time with his friends and mentioned a few by name, including: John, Suzy, Phil, Tucker, Betty, Will, Tall Will, Karen, Amanda, Medium Will, Tim, Hannah, Tom, Zach, Tammy, Joe, Ashley, Maddie, Olivia, Ethan, Kathy, Peggy, Cheese, Chazbo, Slinks, Slay, Vec, X, Chichi, Spanks, Redgie, Tommy Bahami, 12-Keg Kevin, Flick, 13-Keg Theo, Schwartz, Scott Farkus, Booze-Dozer, John, Paul, Ringo, George, Lenny, Bugs, Daffy, Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, and Phil 2.

Although he was upfront about his drinking habits, Chadanaugh remained defensive throughout the course of his hearing.  He even went so far as to fire back at Steinfein, “What about you, huh? Do you like beer? Have you ever blacked out?”

At press time, Chadanaugh was seen taking out his frustration by tearing down campus flyers posted by the Boston College Women’s Center.
