Dear NEC,

I write this letter to the only real and trustworthy news site of Boston College to rant about the Olympics and women’s so-called “domination” of them. Recently, the news has been completely overwhelmed with the USA’s Olympic wins. Now, I am a true patriot and love to see each medal that we win over there in Italia. It is unfortunate, though, that almost all of our medals are being won in the easy, feminine categories like figure skating or alpine skiing. They look good doing alI their tricks, sure, but it is really not that impressive.

Watching all of the teams and analyzing their skills, I can confidently say that my intramural team could have absolutely beaten most, if not all, of the female Olympic teams. Even though my intramural team is for pickleball, plenty of my guys played JV, and some varsity hockey in high school. Those guys were top of their game at their New England prep schools, and could surely go right back to it if they played the women’s team. As for things like alpine skiing or freestyle skating, me and my guys grew up skiing on Wachusett’s black diamond slopes and terrain park. I bet those slopes are basically what the women in Italia are skiing on.

I love women. I respect women. I really appreciate all they did for us in the Olympics. I just wish more of us guys got the chance to shine, you know? Maybe they could go back to some all-male sports (shoutout nordic combined).

Sincerely,

Mr. Sogny
